Question: I just received a letter from you. What should I do?

Read the letter and make sure that you understand your rights. If you wish to resolve your debt, please send payment in the enclosed envelope or call us at the number provided to discuss payment options. You can also log in to our payment web site here to pay online. The ACA International has produced a flier that may be helpful as well. You can download it here.

Question: I’ve never heard of Integrity Professional Solutions, and I don’t believe I owe you any money.
Answer:
We work on behalf of our clients. It is likely that you incurred the debt with one of them, and they turned the balance over to us for collection. If you have any questions about the nature of the debt in our system, please call us to discuss it further. We will do our best to resolve any questions about its validity or the balance in question.

Question: How do I know if you are legitimate?
Answer:
We are a legitimate Michigan corporation in good standing, which can be verified here. Finally, we are members in good standing of the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals, which can be verified here. All of those affiliations require strict adherence to a code of conduct and ethics above and beyond the norm.

Question: My account was included in a bankruptcy, what should I do?
Answer:
If you filed for bankruptcy, and the debt in question was included in that bankruptcy, then we need the details of your bankruptcy filing. Please have your bankruptcy lawyer contact us with the following information:

1) The exact name(s) shown on the bankruptcy petition
2) The date of the filing
3) The Chapter of the bankruptcy (i.e. ch. 7, or ch. 13)
4) The bankruptcy case number
5) The state and district the bankruptcy was filed in

Question: I do not want to speak with you because I cannot pay the balance right now.
Answer:
In most cases, if you are willing to work with us, we will work with you to come up with a payment plan that works for everyone. We are frequently able to set up automatic payment arrangements, with your consent, so that the debt is paid off in monthly installments. The most important thing is to make contact with us and keep a line of communication open so that we know you are making an effort. The most unpleasant consequences of being in collections, such as litigation, can often be avoided by just doing that.

Question: What forms of payment do you accept?
Answer:
Just about any legal form is acceptable. Check, money order/cashiers check, credit card (Visa, MC, Amex, Discover), debit card, Western Union, bank wire, check-by-phone or cash. Checks and credit cards are accepted over the web here as well.

Question: Do you report my account to the major credit bureaus?
Answer:
Yes. We report on the 15th of every month. We also do routine inquiries with the bureaus to learn information that may be helpful in locating you or collecting on the debt.
